Norm Langston at FBC Beaverton has employed "nsteps" as a possible bridge to help  change the conversation in the church he pastors.
What if GRADUATION to the next level  in school or in our case THE CHURCH, shifted from  "mastery of the material" to "observing use of artifacts to prove levels of mastery. "  
Where do you begin?  For these school leaders it began by challenging the current scorecard and putting in place a new scorecard.   What you celebrate people will want to emulate.   Next, introduce meaningful tasks.   The doing which proves the heart change, mind mastery, etc.
