RENAISSANCE

Our COMMUNITY

·        Portland Oregon’s Hawthorne District is an eclectic center for Secular, New Age, Hipster and Bohemian souls.

·        More than 50,000 people call Hawthorne home.

·        Hawthorne is among the least Jesus-oriented neighborhoods in America.

The BURDEN

·        To pray that some of our neighbors will come to love and follow Jesus.

·        To repeatedly communicate the message of Jesus with the 50,000 people in our community.

·        To practically serve Hawthorne residents and make new disciples for Jesus.

So FAR

·        More than four million gospel ads are being published in the Portland Mercury newspaper.

·        We’ve walked each avenue and prayed over every home & business in our neighborhood.

·        We have placed gospel brochures on every home here, six times.

·        Gospel literature has been hand delivered to each business in our district (an area covering over 25 miles).

·        Every Buddhist temple, mosque, synagogue and heterodox church in our area has received a witness.

·        We have served and counseled many who are grappling with life’s deepest issues.

What’s NEXT!

·        Continue to meet with individuals to make new disciples for Jesus..

·        Look for groups who may be open to following Jesus.

·        Habitually share Jesus focused literature with all of our neighbors.

·        Recurrently serve our closest neighbors in practical ways.
