Laziness?

I went to the movie LINCOLN this weekend with Charlean. I really enjoyed it. This quote from the president struck me:

"I could write shorter sermons but when I get started I'm too lazy to stop."

It speaks of discipline. It speaks of priority. It speaks of ____________.

What was the President implying equating LAZINESS to longer sermons?
