Missio - latin word for "sent"
God is a missionary God.
He sends the SON.
He sends the SPIRIT.
AS the FATHER sends the son, Jesus SENDS us!
The sentness of the church! Every person (the church) is sent.
Missional church allows the mission of God to shape the church in the world.
The mission - God's mission - has a church, a people!
Mission also must become INCARNATIONAL.
Jesus moves into the neighborhood for 30 years.
If God is a missionary God, we must become a missionary people. If God comes to us as the Incarnate one, Jesus provides us a model of how to become rooted into a place, a neighborhood, a community! Hirsh - verge2102
