Applying Missional ATTITUDES in Planning for the BIG GAME a.k.a. the SB

In a recent post we mentioned the three necessary attitudes for being "on MISSION" or missional. They were:
1. Proximity: you move in, get close, and let your space be bumped into by other people
2. Frequency: is the pathway of face-in-the-crowd to polite-nods to hi-how-are-ya’s to hey-let’s-grab-a-coffee. Frequency has the ability to fill in the blanks of distrust and intimidation replacing them with trust and approachability.
3. Spontaneity: Because you are close and frequent, relationships don’t need to be regimented by a schedule. Things just happen. Spontaneous conversations, events, and simple community-like moments develop naturally.

With this as a backdrop, how will you be intentional with your BIG GAME party as a church, as a community group, as a individual follower of Christ?

Will you host a BIG GAME party at the building where you meet?

Will you host a BIG GAME in your home?

Will you hang out at the local hot spot where the BIG GAME will be televised?

Will you......?

How will you be INTENTIONAL this year during the BIG GAME to make disciples of Christ?

Run your decision through this grid:

3 Missional Questions:

a. What is your number one biggest barrier to being in close proximity of those you hope to reach? Name 3 possible solutions.

b. Where are the 3 most frequented places of those you hope to reach?

c. Is your schedule structured for flexibility? Does it allow room for mission when and as it arrives?
