It is interesting in this list (post of list from Ed Stetzer) that evangelism/discipleship doesn't "show up" on the list until #6. I would think it would be #1. Unless of course, you are just transferring Christians from one church to a "new" church. Then, it is obvious #1-5 show up on the list first!
Thus, this is the problem I see with current church planting strategies. It is really "shuffling" the deck of Christians and very rarely about making new Christians.
In my view, joining God in planting the gospel in a community is HARD work, slow work and not as sexy as launching on "preview" Sunday with a couple of hundred re-shuffled believers.
NO. On my list is evangelism/discipleship of those who are not yet Christians.
