It is astonishing the number of sermons I have heard when the founder of our movement-JESUS-and the One who is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE, is not even mentioned on Sunday mornings.
I've heard some good things BUT not the main thing-JESUS. It is easy to get sidetracked with a good illustration, a good story, commentary or a funny joke but don't forget to make Jesus central.
As you prepare for this Sunday, look over your notes, where is JESUS? How is Jesus serving as the central hermeneutic of everything God has led you to say?
Jesus is the Churches inspiration. Jesus moves us to be on MISSION. Let's talk about HIM this Sunday and not just assume He is going to be talked about!
