Book Review: Launching Missional Communities by

Launching Missional Communities is written by Mike Breen and Alex Absalom who pioneered these methods in England at St. Thomas Church.

They now live in America and give leadership to 3DM network (here is a link to their site: http://ping.fm/k92W3 ).

This review is written by Jay Jacobs from Austin City Church and posted on Jonathan Dodson web page. Here is the link to read the review.....

What are your thoughts? What difference do you see between the traditional small group and missional communities? What stands out to you as you read the review (sociological categories for example)?

Regardless of which "structure" you are using, I think it is important to focus on a couple of key elements of any group:
1. The leader. You need leaders who can make disciples -not better Christian disciples- but disciples of those who are not yet following Christ.
2. Reproduce everything. Reproduce the leader by making disciples. Reproduce the group by making disciples.
3. Stay on mission by discovering people of peace.
