We (SBC) have launched a website so we can communicate regularly with you and other SBC leaders in sharing what the Lord has placed on my heart for the SBC. I urge you to visit Pray4SBC.com to join our prayer team and view the monthly videos that we hope will be challenging and encouraging for you and other convention leaders in the days ahead. It is my hope to speak directly to a majority of SBC pastors through these monthly videos.
Here are just a few ways you can be praying now:
§ That we as Christians will return to our first love for Jesus Christ and in so doing, renew our passion for reaching the world for Jesus Christ
§ That we as Southern Baptist Christians will radically re-prioritize our giving to Christ's Great Commission so that increased funding will go where the need for the Gospel is the greatest
§ That every pastor will lead his church on a short-term mission trip in the coming year. I hope you'll work with your local churches on this, especially the smaller ones that may need to join with others to make this happen. The spiritual impact that mission trips have had on our folks at Johnson Ferry is really hard to describe.
§ That every church in our convention will make their 2010 Lottie Moon Offering goal the largest in their church's history. I'm urging pastors to pray diligently about what kind of goal to put before their people.
§ For God's leadership in naming new presidents for the IMB and NAMB
